We recognize and understand that entrepreneurship is a beautiful journey which has its own ups and downs in this ever-evolving world. We do celebrate our founding teams in their moments of glory, but also support them through our experience, guidance and stewardship when they need it the most.

Investment Characteristics

Ticket Size - Typically invest between $100K - $500K.
Stage - Seed stage and Series ‘A’ stage. We usually prefer companies which have demonstrated customer validation.
Engagement – We give a lot of importance to meetings and verbal communication. Hence, we seek active engagement with the founding team generally through board representations.
Region – We invest in India-based companies who are Indian by heart and have the will and vision to expand globally.

At Indus Initiatives, we back founders and their team who are obsessed with solving hard problems, usually one that generates an essential change in consumer behavior and impacts larger markets.

Impact

We notice competitiveness and passion while keeping a close eye on product. The product or service should have an impact on overall economy, national or international.

Scalability

We have a keen interest in products/services and business models which are inherently scalable and can be easily reached to a mass audience.

Resilience

For us, resilience of the product/service in the face of technology, market, regulatory, and competitive changes is what defines a startup and differentiates its competitors.

Strong Tech Spine

We typically like to invest in ventures and companies which have a strong tech spine, meaning, concepts backed by code or intellectual property. We are more inclined towards educational & B2B businesses.
